The Power of Haileybury Connections

Last year, Molly Muzzlewhite (Allenby, 2018) found herself at a crossroads in her career and realised she wanted something different from her current role. The idea of a career in Executive Search had been on her mind, but despite her degree in Politics and Economics, she wasn’t sure where to start.

Molly found the Haileybury Connect Careers Webinar: ‘What can you do with a degree in Humanities?’, which proved to be a game-changer for her. During the webinar, Molly learned that one of the panellists, Georgiana Holden (Alban’s, 2014), worked for an Executive Search company called Essenta Partners. Seizing the opportunity, Molly reached out to Georgiana through the Haileybury Connect network.

Georgiana’s guidance and support played a pivotal role in Molly’s successful transition from Consulting to the Executive Search field. Reflecting on her mentorship, Georgiana shared, “I have met a few people in my career who have been kind enough to share their learnings with me. I am thrilled to be able to support Molly in finding a new role and encourage others to reach out to their network and work in an industry that truly excites them.”

Molly expressed her gratitude, saying, “Georgiana is also my mentor at Essenta which has been fantastic. I absolutely love working here and am so grateful to Georgiana for taking part in the webinar.”

Reach out to your network and start having conversations! You never know where they might lead. Building relationships is a key skill. I try and take one learning from every meeting I have. – Georgiana shared further advice with Haileybury Connect.
