Founded in 1890 in the East End of London, where the former British Prime Minister and Old Haileyburian, Clement Attlee, once served as manager, HYT has operated exclusively in Uganda since 2006, addressing urgent humanitarian and development needs in one of Africa’s poorest countries.
With Uganda’s rapidly growing population, there is an immediate need for skills training, employment opportunities, and infrastructure development. HYT equips young Ugandans with expertise in innovative, low-carbon building technologies, providing practical skills that improve education, livelihoods, and future opportunities.
Support HYT today and help us continue this vital work, empowering young people, enhancing education, and creating sustainable opportunities for communities across Uganda.
Below are some of the remarkable achievements HYT has made this year, made possible by the generous support of the Haileybury community.
